中国航空运输协会（简称“中国航协”）、英文名称：China Air Transport Association（简 称“CATA”）是由中国航空集团公司、中国东方航空集团公司、中国南方航空集团公司、海南航 空股份有限公司、上海航空股份有限公司、厦门航空有限公司、深圳航空有限责任公司、四川航 空股份有限公司、中国民航大学九家单位共同发起，于2005年9月9日正式成立的以航空公司为主 体的行业社团组织。

中国民用航空局李家祥局长（原中国航空集团公司总经理）和中国航空集团公司孔栋总经理先后 担任第一届理事会理事长，现由中国东方航空集团公司刘绍勇总经理担任第二届理事会理事长。 2009年6月5日中国航空运输协会被中华人民共和国民政部评为 “5A级社会组织”。 中国航空运输协会的基本工作任务是诚信服务、严格自律、积极协调、主动维权，发挥政府与企 业、企业与企业间的桥梁和纽带作用，促进中国民航事业安全、健康、和谐、持续发展。

中国航空学会是由航空航天科学技术工作者及相关领域的单位自愿结成并依法登记成立的全国性、学术性、非营利性的法人社会团体，立足航空、服务会员。

学会成立于1964年2月，目前有团体会员130个，正式注册个人会员近3万人。学会设有组织、学术、科学普及、国际合作、教育、青年、科技咨询7个工作委员会和28个专业分会。全国有17个省、自治区、直辖市成立了地方航空学会，在中国航空学会指导下开展工作。

学会主要业务范围涉及国内外学术交流、科学普及、继续教育、科技咨询、科技奖励、以及举办会议展览等。
